Started a hairdressing vocational training programme for young women leaving prisons The HK Christian Kun Sun Association Ltd. officially became a member of the Hong Kong Council of Social Service “Naomi Concept Ltd” participated in the joint exhibition of social enterprises organized by the Hong Kong Government.
Started ministry at the Lo Wu Correctional Institution (Women) Responding to the continuous increase in the number of foreign prisoners (called ‘Other Nations’ prisoners’, actively developed English and multi-language speaking ministries to serve this group of people. Development of religious classes at the “Hei Ling Chau Correctional Institution” and the “Lai Sun Correctional Institution” Opened the first female hostel to provide a wholistic pastoral home for “repeat offender” female rehabilitated persons.
The “Kun Sun Hostel” Men’s halfway house was established in Sham Shui Po to help rehabilitated persons regain their lives, reconcile with their families and reintegrate into society Recording of worship songs created by prisoners titled “Soar Like Eagles”. Launched a social enterprise for female rehabilitated persons: “Naomi Concept Ltd” garment workshop The Jireh Fund helped KSA to write the “Walking Together Hand in Hand in the Lord” prayer manual for prison ministry.
Began ministry at the Castle Peak Bay Immigration Centre Set up the “Blue Sky Worship Team” for rehabilitated persons to worship and share in schools, prisons and churches. Recording of a new song album created by prisoners called ‘On Freedom’s Wing’ Established a social enterprise of renovation services run by male rehabilitation persons called: Great Life Century Limited
The KSA office was moved to North Point City Centre, where the old site of 338 Lai Chi Kok Road was used as the “Onesimus” Integrated Training Program Centre and The Halfway House for newly released male rehabilitated persons. Set up music therapy at the “Siu Lam Psychiatric Treatment Centre”
In partnership with the Department of Corrections started running the ‘Alpha Course’ for prisoners In conjunction with the Correctional Services Department and the Prison Pastoral Corps, the CD “Prospects” was composed and performed by a number of correctional inmates. Co-organized the “Hong Kong Mediation Centre Elementary Training Course” with the Hong Kong Mediation Centre, combining Christian concepts and criminal mediation
