In 1973, a group of students from the Alliance Bible Seminary undertook the first evangelistic meeting in prison, in which 30 inmates confessed their sins and accepted Christ in tears. Those inmates were released after two months. Knowing their need for concern and follow-up, some brothers and sisters who were involved in the prison evangelistic work decided to form the “New Life Fellowship”.

The Fellowship being set up suffered lots of hardships and even the fate of disbandment. Yet with God's grace and earnest prayers, it was finally transformed to be the present Hong Kong Christian Kun Sun Association in September 1978, registered as a non-profit making organization. It started to recruit full-time workers and continue the mission of spreading the Gospel of freedom among those in jail |
